I floundered for a few years after my former dentist's sudden retirement. I think I've found a new "home" with Dr. Maria Lam, Ally, and the team at Lakewood Modern Dentistry. Reasons: --Precision work: I'd complained of a bad "bite" (back teeth not meeting/aligning correctly) for decades, but had given up on the whole thing. In installing 2 crowns, Dr. Lam devoted the time necessary (including "do-overs" and re-checks) to ensure that my "bite" aligns the way it's supposed to. This took much more of her and her team's valuable time, supplies, etc., as well as more time in the chair for me, but...WORTH IT! My teeth finally feel "right." --Painless root canals: I needed 2 root canals, and kinda dreaded them. Dr. Jordan Sherman was great! I was prepared to experience some pain...but no! The work was done carefully and efficiently, and without pain. Great teamwork between Dr. and assistant, too. --Technology: It's really cool that the office has the 3D technology to make permanent crowns on-site. They are also very careful to document procedures by x-raying before as well as after, to ensure the correct results are achieved. In summary, Dr. Lam/Lakewood Modern Dentistry is a practice that fully understands what precision instruments our teeth are, and treats them accordingly. Highly recommended if you are a patient who appreciates the time, effort, and commitment needed to achieve excellent results. My teeth are very thankful!

Both Dr. Sherman and Dr. Lam are professional, experienced and knowledgeable with explaining the problems and procedures to correct the issue
